Exercise 1- Alok Roy Chatterjee

My name is Alok Roy Chatterjee and this is my Rube Goldberg Machine which includes many spheres rolling on ramps, dominos, different rows of ramps, and dominos with jointed components for creating sphere movements on ramps. The starting phase of this machine includes spheres rolling into three rows of dominos. As the dominos collide with the sphere and fall, a new sphere on the row is pushed into the next row to collide with the new row of dominos. This continues for three rows. This phase of the machine is supported by two leaning side structures. The next phase of this machine is at the plane level and includes a ramp to put the sphere into the plane level. Then, dominos are pushed over as a larger domino with side objects, connected by fixed joints, push over the next sphere sitting on the plane top of the ramp. After the sphere moves down the ramp, it pushes over more dominos and the next larger domino with objects, connected by joints, push over the next sphere that is sitting on the plane top of the ramp. This continues for three more ramps and spheres until the last sphere rolls down the last ramp after being pushed over by the dominos.
